A friendly chamber choir based in Tring, Hertfordshire

The Ridgeway Chorale at St Peter & St Paul, Tring, May 2024

May 2026 - St Peter and St Paul, Tring

Richard Grylls, retiring director of the Ridgeway Chorale, has conducted various small choirs in Chesham and Tring since 1987.
He is accompanist to a great many young people taking their grade exams, and was for 24 years the accompanist of Tring Choral Society.
A retired teacher, he spends his time organising musical events, arranging and composing music for singers and instrumentalists, and researching his own and other people's family histories.
The May 9th Tring concert was Richard’s final one with the choir – he is taking a well-earned retirement from the role, though he will continue to organise and conduct one-off events.
The choir (which still includes some founder members) would like to offer their warmest thanks to Richard for his many years of organisation, creativity and, not least, the ‘arm-waving’!
We hope to continue in some form in the future, though Richard will be a hard act to follow.

Chariot of Saints - the Grand Finale

We perform short choral pieces – sacred and secular, old and new, serious and lighthearted – something for everyone to enjoy.
